Dalyan
is a lovely village on the Aegean Coast
on the river that runs between Lake Koycegiz
and the sea. It is a conservation area and
still preserves a rural way of life. The
beach is protected as it is where the Caretta
Caretta turtles lay their eggs. There are
many other attractions in and around Dalyan
such as the ancient city of Caunos, Lycian
rock tombs, mud baths and thermal springs.
For such a laid-back place there is a surprising
amount to do. It bustles with shops, restaurants
and a weekly market. Have a glass of tea
in the square with the locals or a beer
in a riverside restaurant watching the boats
ply the reed-filled river. Our local representative
can organise your airport transfers (payable
locally, approximately £32 return
per car), Welcome Pack, and will be happy
to suggest excursions. You can also take
advantage of the local facilities, sailing,
scuba diving, climbing, canoeing, cycling,
hang-gliding, walking, parascending, horse
riding, jet ski, coarse fishing, snorkelling,
swimming, bird watching, flora & fauna,
sea fishing, white water rafting, Micro
light flying As there are only 8 villas
on this private complex there is a homely,
friendly feel and to preserve this we will
not accept bookings from groups of young
people.
Comfortable, well
- appointed villa in central location in
the beautiful Turkish resort of Dalyan.
The property sleeps 6. Comfortably, 4 bedroom
villa in excellent location. Rural feel
but only a few minutes walk to the market,
quayside, shops, bars and restaurants. Beautiful
mature gardens and mountain views. We have
refurbished the villa to be as comfortable
as our home. You will find a modern kitchen
with double oven and granite worktops. There
are mosquito nets on most windows and air
conditioning downstairs and in all bedrooms.
Hot water is on demand from the central
heating system. All bed linen, bath mats
and indoor towels are provided and will
be changed weekly. Please bring your own
towels for pool and beach use. All bedrooms
have wardrobes, chest of drawers, rug, bedside
table and bedside lights. Outside there
is a large swimming pool. As this has a
uniform depth of 1.8 metre's we regret that
it is not really suitable for small children
or non-swimmers. Looking onto the gardens
and the mountains beyond, there is a balcony
and a private patio with a table and four
chairs. At the front is a private paved
area with a large pergola. A table and 6
chairs are provided together with a stone
barbecue, 2 freestanding hammocks and 2
sun loungers.
